awesome stuff - i was at an interview in coco beach which is right next to the cape a while back and it was during a launch. We sat on hte beach, drank beer and watched the thing go up - increadible experience.

i think we were like 10 miles or so away - you could still hear and "feel" the thing - just a really impressive sight.

That is crazy awesome. My parents and sister were in Florida when the shuttle went up last week. They were about 45 mins (driving) away.
I would love to just do the launch, not necessarily a space walk. I just want to sit my ass on all the power.
