Should be interesting to see where "working the technical innovations into future HD's" goes. A "revolution in technology" seems to mean rubber mounting an engine

I would so rock one of those buggers - looks like a riot of a bike, what an SV should have been and the price ain't all that bad either. http://blogs.superstreetbike.com/659377 ... index.htmlI heard about them 2-3 years ago. Never seemed to be more than a myth. Finally saw one out at Indy when I went to the MotoGP. Unfortunately, I didn't get a good look at it. Nice to see they're not putting a 180 or 190 rear on a 650. $8k isn't bad either for what it comes with.

other than the Hyosung motor that bike looks like a winner - that's a lot of good stuff for 8k.

i looks like a pretty amazing little bike and they claim they will be supporting it in the twin classes with WERA and CCS next year. will be interesting to see how they do vs. SV's in there.
i know a lot of guys have tried running 180's on the back of SV's and most have gone back to the 160. not that i was ever that fast on mine but i never really felt like it needed anything bigger than that in the back. i think the biggest reason they tried upsizing the rear was to get a better selection of tires.

All the silly kids on riderforums are drooling over 180 conversion kits and versys swingarms on the 650R. There's no point as far as handling or suspension, and I think it looks terrible. I don't see how changing to a 180 would give a beter tire selection either, with all the SVs racing. Pirelli DOTs and Michelin race tires are easy to get.

I spoke to Zoran at TWF about this pretty extensively when I had my SV. He probably knows more about those bikes than any other human being alive. He makes a conversion kit for F4 wheels to work with the SV. But he did not see any benefit in it either. There are a lot of high end street/track tires that are not made in a 160. The CIII is a prime example. There is also less in the way of DOT's and slicks. Another big reason guys used to look into the conversion was so they could get cheap take-offs which is very plentiful in 180 but fairly rare in 160.
