Alright. So after my first trackday last Monday with the Triumph675.net crew at NJMP Lightning, I'm hooked. I was looking at doing a trackday at VIR sometime this summer/fall so I don't have to deal with the 8+ hour drive to NJMP, until this came up. Velocity Cycles is putting on a trackday with TPM at Lightning on Thursday for $125. You also get to take the S1000RR and the RSV4 out for a session each. Cornerspeed is having a day at VIR North August 9th for $200. That's only 130 miles from me. When you factor in cost of gas for my pickup, it ends up being the same. Other than gas/food, I don't need to spend more money on anything else. I can't decide if it's worth the 8-9 hour drive to go back to Lightning (which was a great track) so I can take a S1000RR and a RSV4 out on the track too. |

I would do the VIR day. Its closer and I believe Cornerspeed is a pretty well known track organization. Not sure what you'll get with velocity cycles, even with them using TPM as the host. |

I've been looking at Summit, but I haven't heard too much positive feedback on that track. Pavement not being the best and not enough runoff being primary concerns. My first choice is VIR North, but we'll see what I can find that I'm available for. |
