Just so you guys know... The root cause of vibration when braking is that the rotors have a variance in the thickness at different points on the braking surface. If one side (thickness) is at 3.7 mm and the other side is at 3.85 mm, that .15mm thickness variance would be like you squeezing the brake lever a little bit harder at perfectly timed intervals around the rotor. Since you can't do that, the thickness of the rotor pushes the pistons back, or increases braking force momentarily when the pads contact the thicker part of the rotor, causing a vibration that you can feel at the lever, and/or through the clip ons.
What causes the thickness variance you ask? Well, that's caused by excessive rotor run-out. As the warped rotor is pushed back into place by the pads (the floating buttons allow this to happen without you really taking notice), the rotors are worn thinner in the spots that make the initial contact with the pads and after the rotor is where it should be, within the pads, it stops moving... leaving thicker spots.
You guys wanna see something really weird? I'll try to always carry my bowl shaped rotor with me for the next few years. When cold, it would actually push the pads back into the caliper and cause my lever to come back to the clip on!
