Good write-up sounds like you had a great first race! I too was a bit overanxious on my first race start and was just happy I didn't loop it. Those National's plaques are prettier than my regional ones. Most expensive pieces of wood I possess. (oh, I just set myself up there didn't I?)
And yes Matt, 12's on a 600 at Summit is just ridiculous.
