I love the Hondas. They are almost too quiet as I've had them run out of gas and not realize it shutting off.
Edit: The great thing about the Hondas is you can run them all night and not worry about pissing off your pit neighbors. I wouldn't suggest that with some of the cheaper models

Just fired mine up, took a couple of times but got it running like a clock. It's certainly no Honda but I've heard FAR worse at the track. So if it lasts for a while and powers my warmers OK I'll be a happy camper (with a long extension cord to put it beside Wolley's trailer)

Tested the genny with the warmers for 20/25 minutes. I believe this set up is going to work pretty well!

So you guys have some generator reviews? I am thinking about a purchase myself. Pep Boys has this one on sale for a few days this week:
And there is always the Home Depot models. Anybody tried those?

the top one looks a lot like silvr6's - i'm sure he can chime in when they get back from CMP tonight or tomorrow.
how much stuff are you looking to run? balcomm and I both got cheapies off eBay to run a single set of warmers for like $170 or so delivered and I think we are both pretty happy with them.

Maybe 2 sets of Chickenhawks(2x1150w) and whatever else I can think of. Damn HD wants to charge sales tax online. I can go to PepBoys and get that one cheaper. 500w less tho.
Is your ebay unit fairly quiet? what is the db rating?

The HD one looks ok for home use but is very loud at 80db. hearing damage start at 82 so this would be too loud for the paddock and you would piss off others around you.
The pepboys one doesn't give specs but it too is prolly loud. you do get what you pay for but i know there are good one cheaper then the inverter types.
I am looking for one but will prolly end up getting a honda or yamaha because of the quality. I hate to spend money on inferior stuff to only be disappointed with it or have to replace it later.
