I mounted mine directly into the concrete floor. I tried using a large sheet of plywood but ended up rotating the plywood under the base when trying to do Harley Rims. Just my .02.

yeah, I did not have it mounted at all and tried to put on a front - that's how I whacked my back - pretty fucking stupid in rhetrospect I don't really want to mount it to the floor. I'll have to see if I can sort something out for a location if I go that route.

i know it's overkill but maybe a make a mold to fill with cement and make a platform.

EURIKA! I mounted my first tire without a dibilitating injury or scratching the rim! Now just need to balance the bitch and go ride.
