put the new harness in today. still need to double and tripple check that i got everything and then get it back together enough to see if she lights up and runs.
really was not to bad, just methodically unpluged the old one, one plug at a time and connected the new one. took like 2 hours total to strip stuff off and put it back on. guess we'll see...
Can't believe Kissell's wanted $980 some dollars to do it (just for labor). Fucking thieves.

IT'S ALIVE

got an ecu out of a wrecked bike and she fired up like a brand new bike!!!!!! I'm fucking stocked!!

need to button everything back up, swap the master back on it from the gix and take it for a spin.
if that all goes well the gix is up for sale.

be nice.... i was jumping up and down like a little kid in the garage when it settled into an idle like it should. it's still tossing some codes but i know why on each one (like it can't find the exup and secondary air - i took both off). it is tossing a low voltage code on the tps which i will have to look into. otherwise it's clean.
i'm just happy to finally make progress.

at least you have it up & running now with just a few little bugs to work out. but i'm sure you'll get it all tuned in. talk about a project bike, lol.

i know how you feel man. after 6 months of looking at my banshee sitting with a blown up motor, hours and hours of wrenching, and lots of $$ of course, i had the biggest grin when it fired up on the 3rd kick and sounded sooo......sweet. my wife just rolled her eyes and went back inside.
