So, I have been thinking about taking the gix off the street and using it only on the track. cutting my insurance, reg etc will save cash so i am looking at getting some track plastics. if i don't spend too much on it then i wont worry about binning it.

I've been looking on the 13x forums and found some but most are trashed or cost too much with shipping.

I did find some HB that look good but with shipping it will be $425, and it doesn't include the fender. I'll make a lower offer and see if he takes it i guess.

STG has the full HB set for $499 shipped.
Woodcraft has the armor bodies for $600 with the nesba discount. Very good quality but is it worth the extra money?

i can get them painted at the paint shop we use at work for a case of beer so paint isn't an issue.

I did have a trackbike for a short time but never got to take it to the track...long story involving a friend f-ing me over...anyway it had sharkskinz and some other no-name brand plastics. They were all rashed and needed work. I can tell you this, quality plastic's are easier to repair and stand up to being laid down better. Either way plastics seem to have come down in price over the years. Get something your confortable with in price and look at reviews on how they fit from the factory.

as much as i hate to say it take a look at that optimum stuff they sell at wera.
while i had bad luck with fit on my SV with it most of the gsxr and r guys seem to think it fits just fine. it's way cheaper than that HB set you linked and while it's probably not the lightest stuff out there it is resonably flexible and pretty thick - much thinker than HB.
I have HB on the gix and I ain't all that impressed.
I got Rockwell Racing stuff for the 675 and it actually looks pretty good and it's nicer and cheaper than HB as well.
If I were to spend $500+ for HB, I'd step up and get Armour Bodies, it's a hell of a lot nicer.
I was gonna do sharkskinz or catalyst on the 675 but then it's a track bike so who gives two shits so long as it works?

http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?t=190566 - not 100% they have sets for your bike though.

since my bike is getting old i don't see plastic up for sale too often. Some of the newer companies don't even make it for my bike.

I'll keep an eye open because I'm not in a rush to get them.

Maybe I'll stop in and see Jason and see what he has.
