How much is too much of a good thing? I've now wired up the 675 to what NESBA, STT, etc. require for advanced groups.
Thought about doing some of the other stuff WERA requires but not sure if it's really called for. No real intent to ever race the thing so any real reason to bother to do anything more than the drain plug, oil filter, oil filler and dipstick (yes, it has a dipstick).

wiring will give you piece of mind, you'll know the bolts are tight just by looking at them. I did my caliper mount bolts for this reason.

i'm thinking of doing the caliper bolts, fork pinch bolts and kick stand bolts (thanks for the idea nate..) i would do the axles but i've yet to figure out a good way to do either on the 675.
bought a box 1/16th bits, suckers break way too easily.

its going to be a pain in the ass to re wire everything on the axels and calipers whenever you change tires if you do it to wera specs imo.

Im with jr. if you don't plan on racing i wouldn't worry about it, pain in the ass to wire everything again when you change a tire.

I hope I am not beating a dead horse here. I agree about not safety wiring a track bike to meet a race organizations standards. Track event standards are good enough for me but I prefer to wire things beyond that if it ain't a PITA.

Using the safety clips like found here: http://www.mcmaster.com/#90174a112/=4lz19o can make things easier on repetitive task bolts like calipers and pinch bolts.

You can use the clips as long as its not retaining a fluid bolt or plug.

Is that per STT and Nesba?

$1.80 per clip is OK, I guess. :eek:
I just make my own for whatever the application, using SST welding rod in the OD I need. But I like doing stuff like that.
Note, I wound these in opposite directions cuz I didn't pay enough attention. :dunno:
