I'm looking at possibly picking up a generator and tire warmers in the off season. I don't like spending tons of money on things, but I think a generator is one I'll splurge to get a Honda/Yamaha. Plus you can resell them later and they hold their value. I was looking at this one on craigslist. i keep going back and forth on the idea of a yamaha/honda or one like linked ebay jobs.
for $190 delivered it's sort of worth a try. from what i've read the yamaha is actually quieter than the honda (2000's).

just got mine.. pretty small and light - looks reasonably well made. need to get some oil for it and try it out.
