he just called, he just got back from the hospital - fractured one of his lower leg bones (he wasn't sure tibia or fibula) riding a 4-wheeler this afternoon :-(
shitty thing, shitty timing.

ahh man, that sucks!! i'll bet he's pissed off, i know i would be. on another brighter note, i spent the evening working on the R1 and she's almost ready to go. hey chad, what size bolts were you running into your exhaust? the biggest diameter rivets i can handle with the rivet gun is 3/16", which i'm sure would expand to hold ok in a 1/4" hole. anything bigger and we may have to tap it and use a larger bolt instead.

I'm about 99% sure it's an M4 bolt so somewhere around .16" the other 1% would be that it's an M5 so as big as .20" so we may need something a bit smaller than 3/16th.

3/16 is .1875" so we could always ream it out a hair if needed. i think the 1/8" rivets that i have don't have enough grip range and would be too short, unless i pick up a few longer ones in 1/8". i'll see what i can come up with. we'll get him squared away one way or another.
