Well this is the first weekend i ran the metzeler's front and rear and i have to say im overly impressed. I ran a K1 up front and a K2 rear, first two session i went out and i had very good grip for the track being wet. The dry line would work in towards the end of the session and the tires would only get better. Yes they did slip on me a little in the wet but that is expected, but during the afternoon these tires really cooked the heat into them and just stuck like glue. Even when i thought i was getting greedy with the throttle they never slipped. I did about tuck the front but that was my own fault, i didn't adjust the pressures from the morning when i was running warmers and plus i wasn't right on the bike. After looking at the tire at the end of the day, they look better then any other dot i have ran (pirelli dragons and bridge stone 003's). The never tore from the colder session in the morning and never got greasy on me in the afternoon. Right now it looks like i can easily get another 3-4 days out of these tires. Im a fan of the racetec and will continue to run these

K1 super soft K2 soft, but the K2 wears more like a medium i get about 4 days out of a rear which is the best i have gotten out of DOT's. Have to be careful with the K1's if its to hot out they get slick
Lately i been finding good deals on ebay or other members off the other sites
Also check out motorcycle super store they have a rear 180/55 K2 for 175

the first one is me bidding on it, big thing is check the build dates on these tires. Past couple have been 06 which is pretty old for my liking but haven't had a problem so far.
Last winter i got two K1 fronts and a K2 rear for 225
