So after shopping online for a dedicated track bike for the past few weeks and coming up with nothing local...I figured out what i'm doing. There were plenty of good bikes but all the good ones weren't even close to local. All the local bikes were overpriced or trash. So today I bought a brand new 09 GSX-R 750 and will be turning my 03 R1 into my dedicated track bike. I can't wait to get started and buy the plastics and such. My R1 already has all the good parts and a reworked suspension so it was logical and now with 38K miles on her and a handful of trackdays it's about time. Next spring can't come fast enough for me!

The only pic I have is from the dealership, did all the paperwork and junk...actual pick up is Tuesday night since they didn't have a ready charged battery.

Now the plans are the typical stuff...
On the new bike...simple stuff and just ride it;
Frame Sliders
Tank Pad
Fender Eliminator
Possible Slip On Exhaust
On the trackbike I need to do the following;
Full trackplastics/Paint
Remove all the factory stuff that's useless
Put Vesrah RJL pads on the front
refresh my front forks (already have internal upgrades)
refresh my rear shock (modified unit from racetech, gold valve and internal upgrades done already)
Take it to Karn's to have a custom map put on the PCIII
All and all...not too bad.
