just don't go out there thinking that speed alone will get you a bump. the harder i tried to push it early on the more problems i had and probably looked even worse. once i settled down, talked to the CR's & worked on the advice they gave me things improved. i actually slowed down and worked more on lines, body position and technique, and then things just started falling into place. i felt 10x more confident, was a lot more consistent, and was definitely turning faster laps. it wasn't long till i got bumped to "I". and don't forget that you can't go out on cold tires and try to run that pace. trust me on this one, i should've known better but i had to learn the hard way, LOL.
